Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, demonstrating expertise in Linux systems, particularly Debian-based distributions, and proficiency in Python for automation scripting. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts and experience with monitoring tools and frameworks such as Elasticsearch, Victoria Metrics, and Grafana are essential, as is hands-on experience with configuration management tools like SaltStack or Ansible.
The Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for building reliable infrastructure by designing, developing, and maintaining highly available and scalable systems, automating infrastructure through workflow creation and optimization, ensuring system observability through the implementation of monitoring and alerting systems, troubleshooting and resolving critical issues in complex systems, collaborating with QoS and operations teams to enhance reliability and drive technical excellence, and tackling unique technical challenges related to managing a global infrastructure of approximately 10,000 on-prem servers.
